Privacy
Short version: what you type stays in your browser, and practice progress stays on your device.
Calculator values
The calculators and the unit converter process the values you enter locally, in your web browser. Dosage Calcs does not send calculator inputs to a server, does not store them in a database, does not put them in the page address, and does not save them in your browser’s storage. Values are cleared when you reload or close the page.
Med-Math Practice progress
Med-Math Practice saves a summary of your progress in your browser’s local storage on this device, so it is still there next time. It saves counts of questions attempted and answered correctly (overall, by topic and by level), short session summaries, and preferences such as your favorite solution method. It does not save the questions or the numbers in them. It is never sent to Dosage Calcs. You can erase it with the reset button on the Practice page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
NCLEX-RN Review progress
NCLEX-RN Review saves your progress in your browser’s local storage on this device: totals by category, topic, question format and clinical-judgment step, completed case studies, and the ID numbers of questions you bookmarked, missed or answered recently. It is never sent to Dosage Calcs. You can erase it with the reset button on the My progress page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Nursing Notes Practice Note Builder
Text you type in the Practice Note Builder exists only while the page is open. It is not saved in browser storage, not put in the page address, and not sent anywhere. Never enter real patient information. See Nursing Notes Privacy & Safety.
Quick Reference and lessons
Self-check answers on the Quick Reference page and in lessons are not saved.
No accounts, analytics or advertising
There is no login and no user account. Dosage Calcs has no database of patients, users or calculations. The site currently uses no analytics and no advertising, and sets no cookies of its own. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
Ordinary website technical information
Like most websites, Dosage Calcs is delivered through a hosting provider and content delivery network. When your browser requests a page, those services may receive and log ordinary technical request information, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. This is separate from what you type. Loading a page doesn’t require sending what you type into a calculator or note.
Pages also load web fonts from Google Fonts, which receives standard request information when your browser downloads them.
